3.5 stars
If it weren't for the fact that the portions were large & the service was faster than I thought it'd be, then I would've rated them a solid 3 stars.
I was intrigued that they offer free house soup & dessert there by her as well. So even if I didn't end up liking the complimentary food, then at least I wouldn't have wasted any money on anything.
I'm open to trying most new types of food, so I went there for dinner with her. The portion of soup was huge.
It tasted like a combination of won ton broth mixed with chicken broth. It had carrots, turnips, some kind of meat that might have been beef in it, and something else I wasn't sure of.
I didn't care for it. For the appetizer, I got the spring rolls for us to share. I thought I'd only get two or three small pieces, but we got 7 pieces.
I didn't care for that either as the inside was mushy & it had some mushy white filling in it that I didn't like.
Thankfully the entree was good. I ordered the clay pot dish with tofu & spicy seafood. It came with lots of tofu, steamed white fish, squid I think, and shrimp.
It wasn't spicy at all. The fish was tender & there was a decent amount of seafood in it. It didn't come with rice though.
The dessert was some hot bean kind of porridge. I didn't like it. I'm biased. I prefer the American Chinese food at most places, but not Panda Express type of Chinese fast food usually.
Anyways, despite the fact that our water wasn't refilled, I won't deduct a star for that since they got super busy soon after we sat down. They also included free hot tea with the meal, so I can't complain to much about things.
This is a small casual place & the prices here are reasonable. We both left there full despite me having barely eaten much that day.
There is plenty of parking available in the shopping center there. -

Authentic Cantonese Chinese food not your regular regular Chinese take out. Don't judge by stir fry or broccoli and beef, and don't order those Panda Express type dishes. You need to come and pre-order chef special and be prepared to speak the native language. So to help our yelp community I translate all dishes and take a photo of them. You can point and show.
There is no ambience. Loud, crowded and tight space just like native Asian restaurants. Price is not cheap but these dishes are special so price is reasonable. Don't bring your first date or sugar daddy. Do bring wine, and friends to get loud when they are drunk then tip more since there is no corkage.
This is small place and they have subtle favor with no msg. Banquet style dishes are best to share with large group of people.
We ordered:
1. Ginseng dark chicken (花旗參烏雞燉湯)steamed soup. 5/5
2. Fried chicken stuffed with sticky rice and ube. (5/5 crispy and not oily。糯米雞
3. Pumpkin and shrimps deep friend with salted egg York 5/5 To die for. 金沙南瓜蝦
4. Sweet and sour pork. 3/5
5. Steamed fish 4/5 蒸魚
6. Stewed beef brisket 5/5 Beef is good, Daikon is bad.
7. Steamed giant clams with rice vermicelli, garlic and green onion. 5/5 清湯牛腩
7. Pumpkin stewed oxtail 5/5 南瓜牛尾煲
8. Stir fried green bean 4/5
9. Green pea shoots stir fried 4/5。清炒豆苗
10. Red bean soup 3/5
They take credit card and parking is easy if you come at dinner time. Lunch time would be hard. -

We stopped coming to this restaurant because it went downhill with new ownership. Recently we learned that the place is under another new ownership and the food is up to par again. So we want to give it a try!
We walked in to a full house and had to share a table with another party. The place is much brighter with large pictures of dishes posted on the wall. The patrons seemed all enjoying the food and the casual dining environment.
We ordered braised fish fillet with tofu, French style Filet Mignon, Peking style pork chop, and braised tofu with mushrooms and vegetables. They all came with no disappointment In addition, the meal came with house soup at the beginning and green bean soup as dessert at the end.
The staff gave minimal service: providing water, tea, and refills, and served dishes. But will recommend this place because its prices are reasonable with quality food in this Bay Area.
